These are the rules every article on Blogs Wizards is written to.

Sources

  • We work from official sources wherever they exist: WordPress.org documentation, the theme or plugin developer’s own documentation, pricing pages and changelogs, and the original research behind any statistic.
  • Every fact that is not common knowledge links to where it came from. We link to the original source, not to another site’s write-up of it, whenever the original is public.
  • Prices, plan limits and features change often. We give them as they stood when the article was written or last updated, and link to the official page so you can check today’s figures.

Tutorials

  • Steps say which version of WordPress, the theme or the plugin they apply to.
  • Before any step that can break a site, such as editing files, changing the database or updating core, we tell you to make a backup first and, where it matters, to try it on a staging copy.
  • We never link to, recommend or explain how to use nulled or pirated themes and plugins.

Reviews and comparisons

  • We only say we tested a theme, plugin or host when we actually installed and used it. Otherwise the review says what it is based on: the developer’s documentation, pricing pages, changelogs and published user reports.
  • Every review covers the drawbacks as well as the strengths, and names alternatives fairly.

How AI is used

AI writing tools draft many of our articles from the sources above. We use them because they let a small team cover more, and we set rules for them because they make particular kinds of mistakes:

  • They may only use facts found in the sources they were given. They may not invent quotes, figures, features, prices or test results.
  • Automated checks run on every draft before publication: links must point to pages that were among the sources; link text that names a product, company or person must lead to a page about it; words in quotation marks must appear in the sources, or the quotation marks are removed.
  • AI tools do not “test” products. An article will never claim hands-on experience that nobody had.
  • Illustrations in these articles are AI-generated. We do not generate pictures that pretend to be screenshots of a real product or photos of real people.

Human review

Our editor, Shahid Anwer, reads and checks selected articles before they are published, and those articles carry a “Reviewed by” line. Articles without that line were published after the automated checks above. Every article, reviewed or not, is covered by our Corrections Policy.

Independence

  • Advertisers, sponsors and affiliate partners do not see articles before publication and have no say in what we cover or recommend.
  • Sponsored content, if we ever publish it, is labelled as sponsored at the top of the article.
  • Articles with affiliate links say so before the first link.

Updates

WordPress, themes and plugins change, so we update articles when the steps, prices or features they describe change, and we change the “last updated” date. Significant changes are noted at the end of the article.
